Overview

VoiceNPC is built around a simple principle: your voice data never leaves your device. All voice cloning, speech generation, and audio processing happens entirely on your device using on-device machine learning. No server, no cloud, no exceptions.

What We Don't Collect

• Voice recordings or audio files
• Generated speech content
• Text you type for generation
• Voice fingerprints or embeddings

We have zero access to the content you create with VoiceNPC. The AI model runs locally on Apple Silicon, and all data stays in your app's private sandbox.

What We Do Collect

To operate the app and improve your experience, we may collect minimal, non-identifying data:

• Crash reports — anonymous crash logs via Apple's built-in crash reporting to help us fix bugs.
• Purchase records — managed by Apple through the App Store. We receive subscription status but not payment details.
• Ad interactions — if you choose to watch rewarded ads for credits, the ad network (Google AdMob) may collect standard ad interaction data. This only applies to free-tier users who opt in to watching ads.

On-Device Processing

VoiceNPC uses the Qwen3-TTS neural network model, which runs entirely on your device via Apple's MLX framework. The model is bundled with the app — no download or server connection is needed for voice cloning or speech generation. Your voice data is processed in-memory and stored only in local files within the app sandbox.

Data Storage

All app data is stored locally on your device:

• Voice recordings and clones are saved in the app's Documents directory
• Generated audio files are saved locally
• App preferences are stored in UserDefaults
• Generation history is stored in a local SwiftData database

Uninstalling VoiceNPC permanently deletes all associated data from your device.

Third-Party Services

• Apple App Store — for app distribution and in-app purchases
• Google AdMob — for optional rewarded ads (free tier only). Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

Children's Privacy

VoiceNPC is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
